1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
1 c. macadamia nuts
4 c. flour
2 eggs
20-oz. can crushed pineapple, drained
2 t. vanilla
1 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda

Cream shortening, sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and powder. Alternately add the flour mixture and pineapple to the creamed mixture. Add nuts. Drop large teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet and press down dough slightly. Bake at 350° for 12 minutes or until light brown.
