1 3/4 c. sugar
6 T. cornstarch
1/4 t. salt
3 c. boiling water
3 eggs whites, beaten stiff
1 1/2 c. crushed pineapple, drained
1 1/2 t. vanilla
2 lg. baked pie shells
In a saucepan, sift sugar, starch and salt. To this mixture add the boiling water and boil until thick, stirring constantly. Pour over beaten egg whites and beat well. Add pineapple and vanilla; mix well. Pour into baked pie shells and refrigerate. Top with whipped cream when serving.
