1 t. salt
1 c. + 1 T. sugar
1 c. flour
1 c. butter, softened
3 lbs + Granny Smith apples
1 T. corn starch
cinnamon, optional
Peel apples and slice. Place in a 9×13 inch pan. Mix together corn starch, salt and 1 T. sugar. Sprinkle on apples and mix together in pan. Mix remaining ingredients together in a boll until crumbly. Sprinkle on top of apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon, on top if desired. Bake at 425° for 15 minutes to give a crisp top, then reduce heat to 325° for 25 minutes or until done. Serves 12
