Creamy Apple Pie

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 t. vanilla
1 c. flour
1-8 oz. cream cheese
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 t. vanilla
4 c. thinly sliced apples
1/2 t. cinnamon
2/3 c. sugar
1 T. butter
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Directions

Beat together butter, 1/4 c. sugar and vanilla. Gradually add flour. Press into the bottom and up the sides of a 9 inch pie pan. Beat together cream cheese and 1/4 c. sugar, add egg and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Spread evenly over crust. Combine apples, cinnamon and 2/3c. sugar. Layer over cream cheese mixture. Dot with butter and sprinkle with pecans. Bake at 400° for 15 minutes, then lower heat to 350° and bake an additional 30 minutes. If apples are getting to brown, cover with foil.
