1-1½ lbs. smoked sausage
32 ozs. sauerkraut
1 small onion, chopped
3 apples, sliced
4 med. potatoes, sliced
1/2 c. water
2 t. sugar

Mix all but the sausage together in a large skillet, cover and simmer for 45 minutes. Place the sausage on top, cover and simmer 15 minutes more. Serves 4-6.
